I was born in Roswell, NM in 1956 and completed my 12th grade at Stavanger American School in Stavanger, Norway in June 1974. I graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Theory and Research, along with a minor in Government from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas in May 1978. During my time there, I was elected to the National Political Science Honor Society in 1977. Born in Denison, Texas, married, two daughters. I retired from the Air Force in the grade of colonel after having served 29 1/2 years active duty. I was a three-time commander at the detachment, squadron and group levels. My first passion is caring about and caring for families in the broader community because they are the foundation of our nation. My other passion is to continue what I did while on active duty - caring about and caring for servicemembers, federal civil servants and families -- whether still serving or in retirement -- in honor of their contributions to our nation.
