Steven’s passion for understanding the country’s governmental, bureaucratic, and judicial institutions inspired him to attend law school. Steven has practiced various areas of law, including civil litigation, criminal law, government relations, corporate, and commercial law. Jay grew up in Colorado and attended Pepperdine University in California where he obtained a degree in International Business in 2005 graduating cum laude. Jay earned his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2008, graduating with the Order of St. Ives academic recognition. While in law school he was a member and General Editor of the DU Law Review and was selected by his professor to tutor the first-year contracts class. Personal Experience

Mr. Wells has been litigating cases in Colorado courts for nearly 15 years. He has handled various matters from civil actions to domestic relations cases involving complex financial and custody issues (including parental alienation/estrangement). Mr. Wells handles appellate matters and has successfully challenged trial court rulings in appellate courts. Mr. Wells’ litigation training began as a law intern to Judge Angela Arkin during the Fall of 2003. Mr. Wells receives referrals from friends, colleagues, opposing counsel, opposing parties and family members of opposing parties.
