Joe is a United States Army Veteran who founded Markell Estate Planning and Elder Law in 2014. Our firm specializes in estate planning, probate (contested and non-contested), and elder guardianships. We work with many business owners, real estate investors, and high-net-worth clients. Our business succession team is an expert in transferring legal ownership of LLCs, C-Corp, and other forms of ownership from generation to generation, seamlessly transitioning family businesses. When Joe is not helping his clients with their legal needs, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

I have been an attorney since 1988 and am licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois. I have been a partner at Rebman, Linhares & Beachem, P.C., since 1998. Erin graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law. After graduation, Erin joined Reuter Law Firm, now known as Reuter Merkle Law Firm, as an associate attorney. She is a member of St. Catherine Laboure and involved in many organizations including: Heartland Industries, Inc. (a sheltered workshop), the Missouri Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Women Lawyers’ Association of St. Louis, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Affton Chamber of Commerce, South County Chamber of Commerce and Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce. She also is on the board of the Missouri Chapter of NAELA.

Wes Coulson is a certified elder law attorney and the principal of Coulson Elder Law. He earned his B.A., with honors, from Northwestern University and his J.D. from The University of Michigan. He is a member of the Illinois State and Missouri Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the St. Louis Estate Planning Council and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
