Born in Toccoa, I have been a Georgian all of my life. I received a Debate Scholarship to the University of Georgia. I was an active participant on the University of Georgia Debate Team throughout my undergrad years, and I became the Captain of the debate team my Junior and Senior years. A native Georgian, I am the oldest of four siblings. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Georgia, I enrolled in the UGA School of Law and graduated in the spring of 2001. The first six years of my legal career were spent in the courtroom working as an Assistant District Attorney. Since then I have continued a litigation-oriented practice focusing on family law and criminal defense.
