Born in Toccoa, I have been a Georgian all of my life. I received a Debate Scholarship to the University of Georgia. I was an active participant on the University of Georgia Debate Team throughout my undergrad years, and I became the Captain of the debate team my Junior and Senior years. I received my B.A. from the University of Georgia graduating with honors in 1970. I enjoy practicing law at The Goolsby Law Firm, LLC with my oldest son in Augusta and Martinez, Georgia. As a former federal prosecutor in Augusta, Georgia for over 20 years, I have tried some of the largest fraud and public corruption cases in Georgia and U.S. history.
