Additionally, I have extensive experience in civil law obtained while practicing with a private law firm and as in-house counsel.

In addition to my law practice, I’m a partner in a consulting firm that specializes in conducting internal investigations for corporations, nonprofit and government institutions. The areas of investigation include employment matters, such as, white collar crime, fraud, sexual harassment/assault, industrial espionage, legal compliance, etc., among other internal matters where the institution requires an independent investigation.

I counsel international and domestic corporations, small businesses, and individuals. I focus exclusively on litigation of complex commercial disputes, large loss professional liability, and catastrophic injuries.

A graduate of The American University and Michigan State College of Law, Jonathan’s 20 years of private and in-house practice has centered around insurance, compliance and healthcare law with an emphasis in professional liability. Jon devotes a substantial portion of his practice to representing providers and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice lawsuits.

Since the enactment of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act in 2008, Jon has also advised and counseled dozens of caregivers, patients, real estate professionals, investors, and business owners on licensing, compliance, entity formation, municipal compliance, and landlord-tenant related matters.
