Walter F. Wiggins, Jr. received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University in 1983 with majors in Political Science and History. Wiggins received "Honors at Entrance" status and was awarded the Jesuit Community Scholarship. At LMU Wiggins was active in student government, was a member of the university's Honors Program, and was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the national History Honor Society. In personal, academic, and professional aspects of my life, I have always had an interest in international and cultural affairs. As a child of Turkish and Mexican parents, I was reared in a multi-cultural household, resulting in my conversational use of Spanish and Turkish languages. During my University education, I was a governing member of Trenza, the Hispanic women’s organization, and also participated in the University’s English Language Conversation Partner Program as a English Tutor.
