- Q. How many years do I have to sue for personal injury due to product failure and malpractice?
- A: The answer depends on a number of factors. You must determine the jurisdiction(s) in which you could bring a claim and then check to see what the statute of limitations and statute of ultimate repose are in each jurisdiction where you could bring a claim. Your best bet would be to contact a local attorney. Most reputable personal injury attorneys offer free consultations.
If, by chance, you may have a claim in Oregon you have a two years statute of limitations and for recent injuries a ten year statute of ultimate repose (unless the statute is longer in the state where the product was manufactured or imported).
