- Q. What are possible outcomes for probation revocation in Texas?
- A: Any time you do not fully comply with the terms of probation, you risk revocation. As you have learned through experience, the court can always add additional terms or extend your probation instead. If the prosecutors have filed a motion to revoke, then you should try to find representation for the hearing. If the judge grants a motion to revoke probation, then you could be sentenced to jail/prison time. Without knowing more details, it isn't easy to give you all of the possible outcomes.
- Q. Detective claims evidence against me for 2-year-old firearm theft; no arrest warrant issued.
- A: There's no telling how much (if any) evidence the detective actually. Calling you is part of his investigation. Anything you say can and will be used against you, so be careful - you might say something that justifies a warrant being issued.
- Q. Charged with THC possession, claiming Delta 8 legality. Next court date July 16, 2025, TX. Advice?
- A: With no real regulation on these products, there could be anything in them. Something labeled hemp derived delta-8 very well could have delta 9 or anything else in it. The prosecutors will most likely offer you some sort of plea deal. The county you are in makes a big difference. Some counties may offer you a way to get it dismissed with classes/community service/probation etc..., but again, that depends on the county (and your criminal history).
