Robert Gravois
Registered patent attorney practicing in all areas of intellectual property law.
I am a partner at Thomas | Horstemeyer LLP, a boutique law firm with approximately 40 attorneys and patent agents practicing exclusively in the field of intellectual property law. I practice in all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, and related licensing and employment issues.
I have extensive experience in representing clients in virtually all stages of the life cycle of a patent. At the beginning of my legal career, my practice focused on drafting and acquiring patents for some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies and universities. As my career progressed, the scope of my patent practice shifted and now focuses on enforcing issued patents, defending against claims of infringement, and preparing/acquiring high-quality patents for technology that is especially important for my clients’ business needs.
In addition to my patent law practice, I represent clients in trademark acquisition and litigation, copyright acquisition and litigation, trade secret litigation, licensing, and employment law issues related to intellectual property. I have successfully represented clients in courts and tribunals throughout the country, including the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, federal district courts, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
