- As an associate, I reviewed managed care contracts, including regulatory addenda and strategic amendments and counseled providers on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including EMTALA, prompt payment requirements, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. I also oversaw the Independent Dispute Resolution Process under the No Surprises Act for a large hospital system, which involved identification of applicable claims, analysis of remittances, and negotiation with plans and third party administrators. I also represent healthcare systems in negotiating with insurance companies for complex claims denials, including itemized bill audits.
