Philip Stewart

Philip Stewart is a Partner with Oberman Law Firm in Cumming, Georgia. His extensive experience includes both the acquisition and sale of various companies throughout the country working with strategic, private equity, and venture capital groups as well as representing his clients with other corporate matters. He received his BA in History with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University, then graduated magna cum laude from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University where he received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing and was a member of the mock trial team and Dean’s List.

Philip is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Division. He is also the Chairperson of the Georgia Atlanta chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

Having been a business owner himself prior to law school owning a solar energy company, Philip has a deep appreciation for business owners and a desire to help them succeed. He has significant experience working in a variety of capacities including in-house counsel representing one of the country’s largest REITs and as a corporate transactions attorney.

He understands that oftentimes an innovative approach is needed to overcome unique challenges that a business can experience. Philip takes a practical, business minded approach to support the needs of the businesses he represents. From initial formation of an entity to exit strategies, he is driven to support his clients in every aspect because he understands what it takes to make a company successful.

Philip is dedicated to assisting his clients with their companies and sees himself as a strategic partner whose role extends beyond mere legal representation.
