Paul C. Meyers, ESQ.
I am Paul C. Meyers, ESQ., a criminal defense attorney with a deep understanding of the law and a steadfast commitment to defending my clients. I earned my JD from the University of Tulsa, where I served as an editor for the Law Review, in 2011, and I hold a BA from Tulane University, obtained in 2006. With nearly 15 years of legal experience, I have developed a robust practice grounded in significant trial expertise.
My legal career began in Illinois after being admitted to the bar in 2011. Over 11 years in Chicago, I refined my trial abilities, initially working as an Assistant Public Defender in Kane County from 2011 to 2017. During this time, I served as first chair in 28 jury trials, securing 18 "Not Guilty" verdicts and achieving over 146 case dismissals. Subsequently, I joined Robert Callahan & Associates as a Lead Litigating Attorney, where I continued to accumulate jury trial victories from 2017 to 2022. My notable achievements include a "Not Guilty" verdict in a Cannabis Trafficking felony. As well as trial, I have extensive experience in Pardons & Clemency, securing multiple pardons/clemency petitions granted from the Governor.
In 2021, I moved my practice to Texas, where I was admitted to the bar and founded The Meyers Firm, PLLC, in October 2022. Since then, I have immersed myself in the local legal community, actively trying jury trials and diligently advocating for my clients.
I love the study of the law and am constantly updating my legal knowledge and keeping up with new developments in caselaw and statutes. As well, I have contributed to prominent journals, sharing my knowledge and insights. My extensive trial experience, relentless dedication, and strong advocacy skills make me a reliable choice for anyone facing challenges within the criminal justice system. I am passionate about the dynamic legal community and the complex cases that Texas offers, a place where "Justice & Your Rights" mean something!
