She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1991 from the University of Denver before attending West Virginia University College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor. Admitted to practice in Maryland and Washington, D.C., and before the U.S. Supreme Court, she is currently a member of the Peer Review Panel for the Attorney Grievance Commission for Maryland.
