Michael Scott Large is a member of the Law Office of Deirdre W. Edmonds, PA. He graduated from Richard Stockton College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987 and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law in 1991. Michael is admitted to practice law in South Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Deirdre W. Edmonds, Michael was the Elder Law unit head with South Carolina Legal Services. During his time there, Michael’s practice focused on the aging population and individuals with disabilities. He worked collaboratively with local community groups, state agencies, and national organizations to develop new programs and outreach that helped educate the public and protect the rights of vulnerable adults. He is experienced in the areas of elder law, estate planning, supported decision making, guardianship and conservatorship matters, Medicaid planning for nursing home care, probate administration and litigation, and public benefits appeals.
Michael is an active member of the South Carolina Bar currently serving on the Vulnerable Adult Task Force and Elder Law Committee. He is a member of the Horry County Bar, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and serves on the Board of Directors for Champion Autism Network. Michael is also a Leadership Grand Strand alumni. He is a frequent volunteer and speaker on issues affecting the elderly and vulnerable adults. Michael is happily married to his wife Becky and they have two sons.
