Michael John Young
Michael J. Young is an Estate, Probate and Asset Protection Attorney in Walnut Creek, CA. Mr. Young helps his clients plan for not only "What Happens if You Die", but for "What Happens If You Don't Die And Become Ill and Need Care." He helps his clients in the design of their estate plans, to protect their assets for their senior care and to also provide a legacy for their loved ones.
Mr. Young, who has been in practice for over forty years, gives workshops every month in Walnut Creek on basic estate planning and advanced estate planning. The basic estate plans are designed for what happens when you die, and distributions are made to your loved ones without having to go to probate court. Advanced estate plans provide for what happens when you die, but also for your care during your lifetime, asset protection, and getting your ducks in a row for government benefits and Medi-Cal qualification. Medi-Cal is alive and well in California, and can help pay for your stay in an assisted living facility.
He is also a probate attorney. The loss of a loved one will create stress and grief in your life. During this time, Mr. Young will handle his client's probate through the court process to settle the estate and distribute assets to the beneficiaries.
Mr. Young also handles trust administrations when the makers of the trust die. Through this process, assets of the decedent are organized and distributed to the beneficiaries of the trust.
