- Q. I moved out of Florida before my wife filed for divorce. Do I need a lawyer who is certified in both FL and NC?
- A: That would depend on how long you have lived in NC and where your wife filed the divorce. I need more information to answer your question. You can contact our office and schedule a free consultation to discuss your options in more detail. Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you.
- Q. Hi, I live in a very stressful home, I want to divorce and wanted to know the steps that I have to take.
- A: First you need to determine what form of divorce you want to file. You can either move forward with a divorce by mutual agreement which is referred to as an uncontested divorce, or you can move forward with a contested divorce if there is no mutual agreement. Once you determine what type of divorce you want to move forward with the process is very different for each case. Contact our office and schedule a free consultation to discuss your options.
- Q. My wife wants me to Sign divorce papers that says I've cheated on her by texting other girls But i don't want to
- A: You need to contact a divorce attorney immediately to review your situation and provide you advice. Normally, if this is a Florida case, Florida is a no-fault state meaning that the reason for the divorce is usually irrelevant. Including language about cheating would normally not be appropriate. I recommend you contact our office to discuss your case. Our office offers free consultations.
