I am a criminal defense and family law attorney serving all of Mississippi. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and then lived in Grand Junction, Colorado for five years where I studied English Literature at Colorado Mesa University. I began my legal career as a paralegal with Hollis Law Firm in Prairie Village, Kansas, where I worked on the Xarelto, GranuFlo, Benicar, and Viagra Multi-District Litigation.
At Mississippi College School of Law I served as President of the Women's Student Bar Association, and I was a member of the Moot Court Board and Law Review. I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Analysis and Communication Department, Torts I and II, and Trial Practice. I was nominated for Ms. MC Law and received the 2020 Alumni Award. The highlight of my law school career came in April of 2020 when my article, 23andPleaseDoNotDenyMe: The Insurance Coverage Backlash Consumers Suffer When Human Identity Becomes a Commodity, was selected for publication in the 39th Volume of the Mississippi College Law Review.
In my practice, I have represented clients in a community center gymnasium in the Mississippi Delta and in the Federal Court in downtown Jackson, and just about everywhere else in the state. I have experience trying violent felony cases in Circuit Court, various family law matters in Chancery Court, and misdemeanors in Justice and Municipal Courts. I have had success negotiating satisfactory settlements in criminal and civil matters. Whether you need assistance with a misdemeanor or uncontested divorce, or you have a complex custody dispute or a felony indictment, I am available to help you to a just resolution of your case. I am grateful for every person who has trusted me with their legal matters - I know the choice of an attorney is a deeply personal decision in a very difficult season of life.
