Biography

Masha M. Zhuravleva, Esq. is the founder of RusCrane Law Firm, A.P.C. With like-minded people, the founder started this organization with a particular interest to address the legal issues that indigent persons, immigrants and their families, encounter.

The economic status may isolate a person from the quality services at professional standard, especially if a person is an immigrant, from a family of immigrants. The vision is clear that the legal services are unavailable to fill the needs within community, especially for immigrants from the Post-Soviet Republics. Life essential matters and significant legal problems or the day-to-day legal needs may remain unaddressed and unresolved for the distressed ones because of their inability to afford representation. RusCrane Law Firm is committed to provide legal services for the public good.

Q. Can I add a second attorney for my final asylum hearing?
A: [They] are typically unavailable to the majority of people with the immigration cases in Court. And there is no guarantee to receiving any immigration legal services, a consultation by attorney, a certified, accredited immigration representative or other persons with the relevant education and expertise. Hence, people, including minor children, proceed as self-represented and at the mentioned “final,” individual hearings as well. It appears that you’ve been fortunate and able to secure an attorney to begin (and to conclude with), perhaps, working on effective and productive communication with your attorney in your preparation could be beneficial. While having a co-counsel in any practice of law could be ideal, for immigration proceedings such could be challenging and again asking your attorney or learning the Court procedure for the above mentioned hearing could be something to consider. Depending on the reasoning you’ve got prior to posting this question, two attorneys could be better than one or rather you have an opportunity to proceed with your present representation, self-represented, or to substitute your representation at any point in time after letting your attorney know, specifically in writing, that you are preparing and no longer need that attorneys representation, in the alternative you could propose a co-counsel or hire a second attorney yourself. Here, with the amount of uncertainty and unnecessary pressure perceived, would best to schedule an appointment for a consultation with an Immigration law attorney, focus on having that attorney preparing you, providing answers so your have no questions to ask at the end. And proceeding with confidence in your legal representation or being self represented - in any case, the most important should be the focus on you and your ability to provide everything you have, for you to communicate about your life, happenings, and all that you’ve prepared provided best efforts (with or with an attorney) is a case that would seem to have been fully presented to the Judge in making a determination. ...
