Lucia Francesca Bruno
Ms. Bruno has successfully represented clients and litigated claims as both plaintiff and defense counsel. Her diverse practice areas include: insurance law and coverage; catastrophic injury litigation; premise liability; medical malpractice; professional liability; transportation and trucking litigation; and products liability.
As defense counsel, Ms. Bruno has extensive experience defending hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her in-depth understanding of the health care industry and the unique operational issues facing providers allows her to assist clients in establishing effective risk prevention and liability reduction programs designed to avoid future litigation.
She also represents interstate trucking companies and their drivers in matters involving toxic torts and catastrophic injury accidents. She has in-depth knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and frequently advises clients on compliance issues, safety and training programs, and liability prevention. Ms. Bruno has further experience working with the most knowledgeable experts in the trucking industry, from accident reconstructionists to biomechanics, in order to ensure minimal exposure at trial.
As plaintiff's counsel, Ms. Bruno, along with the collaborative efforts of co-counsel, consistently achieved favorable results for clients including, but not limited to the following: $3 million for a wrongful death caused by a medullary hemorrhage following labor and delivery; $2 million for a birth injury resulting in cerebral palsy; and $100,500 for a severe eye injury caused by a defective contact lens product.
In addition to the practice of law, Ms. Bruno serves as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University, Department of Criminal Justice, where she teaches Critical Issues in Law Enforcement.
