Liz Brendze
Narberth, PALiz Brendze, Esq. received her bachelor's degree from Brown University, and her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Upon graduating from law school in 1990, she was selected to serve as a law clerk at the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, for Justice Neil Lynch, Jr. After several years as an associate at the prestigious Boston law firm Hill & Barlow, Liz moved to Philadelphia with her husband. She joined the City of Philadelphia Law Department, working on civil (i.e. non-criminal) matters. She focused on two areas where federal law intersected with local programs: the Americans with Disabilities Act as applied to the City's policies, procedures, and physical structures; and federal regulations governing the City's allocation of federal funds to private nonprofit organizations to provide housing counseling, build affordable housing, and stimulate economic development. Liz also taught legal writing, as an adjunct professor at Temple University Law School. Liz came to the practice of Elder Law after several life-changing events, including her father's decade-long decline into dementia and total physical disability, caused by Parkinson's disease and its complications. She saw how some people will look and talk right past an elderly, disabled, or demented person as if he or she isn't there. Liz will communicate with you or your elderly loved one with the patience and respect that every person deserves. She will address your concerns with compassion, persistence, and superior analytical ability, giving you the peace of mind of knowing you've done your best. Based in Narberth, Pennsylvania, Liz has the flexibility to meet where it's convenient for you, including your home, workplace, or a care facility. Where appropriate, a telephone or video conference may also be arranged. .
