I always knew I would be an attorney because my uncle was a prosecutor and then a successful defense attorney and I wanted to do what he did. I graduated Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1998 and I started Seton Hall University School of Law at Newark, New Jersey the fall of that same year. I attended law school part time, however, because I also worked a full time job at a law firm in Elizabeth, New Jersey from which it was an easy 15 minute commute to my night classes. That was my life for four years until I graduated Seton Hall in 2002 and immediately hung my shingles. I never worked for anyone as a practicing attorney, except my clients of course. After all, I did everything an attorney does at the firm I worked at while attending law school for four years, except representing clients in court. Still, I accompanied the attorneys I worked for plenty of times on the cases I worked on, filed motions, briefs, etc… When I got my license to practice, I was ready to go out on my own. I was 26 years old. My four years working and studying gave me the confidence and knowledge to take such a leap of faith at such a young age.
I am still working for myself as a practicing attorney to this day representing clients in court charged with various criminal, drunk driving and traffic offenses.

Q. I wanted to know if fingerprint evidence needs to be handed over in Discovery
A: if the state is using it to prove the case then yes definitely if not you may request it as exculpatory evidence and if they refuse you file a motion with the court
Q. What exactly is considered "peering" in windows. And how high is the burden of proof?
A: burden of proof is beyond reasonable doubt
Q. How close do you have to be to a window to be charged with peering in the window?
A: It depends on whether you are with or without binoculars and/or a telescope.
Q. would it be proper protocol for an police officer to inform you of additional traffic tickets will be mailed to you?
A: no they're not required to inform you so long as it's mailed within 30 days it's legal otherwise you have a defense.
Q. 2/11/19: got a ticket in Mercer Co., NJ for driving without a license (it had expired 3 days prior on 2/8/19)
A: Your more reliable approach would be to let prosecutor know it's an innocent oversight and you had your situation addressed immediately after being notified of the problem.
Q. My husband was violated for a dirty urine while on parole and I'm trying to figure out how long will he have to do
A: It depends what he is on probation for and if there are any other violations and his criminal case history and yes you should get him a lawyer.
Q. I have a disorderly person offense that I missed my court appearance on in municipal Court in Camden county NJ.
A: Bail reform doesn't apply to municipal court cases it applies to indictable cases which are handled by the county.
Q. i got a tickets for driving without insurance and what are the fines
A: It's a range of 0-12 months loss of license and $300 to $1000 in fines if it's a first offense. If second then jail. Your chances of getting lowest grade of that range are with an attorney because it's at the discretion of the prosecutor to extend you a deal or not and then the Court to accept it.
Q. He stole from his dads credit card is this punishable by law and how severe
A: Certainly is punishable and severity depends on his age and his record and the degree depends on how much?
