I earned my Juris Doctor at Georgia State University College of Law and my bachelor’s degree in Mass Media and Political Communication with a minor in Political Science at the University of Missouri.
While in law school, I co-founded the Georgia State University Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) and was its Vice President for three years, and was also a member of the Family Law Society. During an internship with a family law attorney, I developed my passion for family law. In my third year of law school, I interned with Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation in its Safe Families Office, helping victims of domestic violence obtain Temporary Protective Orders to escape abuse. I also interned with the Honorable Jane C. Barwick of the Superior Court of Fulton County, where I observed numerous court proceedings exclusively involving family law matters and conducted extensive research on the subject of family law. I joined Meriwether & Tharp after graduating and taking the Georgia Bar Examination in July 2017.
I grew up in Cumming, Georgia and now reside in Gainesville, Georgia. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two dogs, Kali and Jake, friends, and family. I also love to garden and to explore the outdoors.
