A: That is correct. Landlords can lawfully prohibit the smoking of marijuana on their property and in their rental units. The same goes for public housing.
Q. Are tasers legal to have and carry in Illinois if a person has a FOID card?
A: Tasers are legal in IL with a valid FOID card, however, there are exceptions to when they may be used including:

--when you intend to use the weapon unlawfully against someone else

--while you’re masked or hooded in a way to hide your identity

Q. Can I own/posess a firearm and grow medical cannabis in a recreational state? Thanks in advance, Veteran, 50, Illinois
A: If you have a valid medical marijuana card and your FOID card you can lawfully keep your firearm in Illinois at this time. Individuals who have drug addiction issues or have felony weapons charges on their records, however, are prohibited from owning a firearm.

Make sure you are abiding by the laws relating to medical cannabis and not growing more than 5 plants at a time and that your plants are kept locked away from any person under the age of 21.
