Keith Allen Sparks
I am a straight-forward, no-gimmicks, Kentucky lawyer. I was raised in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and grew up reading the exploits of my hometown lawyer/author Harry Caudill. I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate and law school degrees. After starting my career for a large Louisville based civil defense firm, I moved my practice to Bardstown, where my wife was raised. We raised our children here and have lived/worked here since 1996.
When I moved to Bardstown, Challen McCoy hired me help with his civil practice and also be a part-time prosecutor. This provided me with substantial trial experience. I tried cases before juries nearly monthly for 4 years. That taught me how to speak to jurors. It was tremendous exposure and a great opportunity for a young lawyer.
In 2001, I left the prosecutor's office and began taking criminal defense and civil litigation cases. My wife Michelle joined me in practice that year. Together, we built a firm with the largest criminal defense and domestic practice in the area. We quickly discovered that we enjoyed helping people in injury cases and that became and remains our focus today.
Since 2001, we have handled more personal injury cases than any firm in the area. We obtained the largest jury verdict in an injury case in Nelson County Circuit Court history. All in, we have helped local families secure well over $60,000,000.00 in judgments and settlements to date. I have personally helped numerous familes recover multi-million dollar settlement awards.
Our staff is excellent. They are all extensively trained and highly experienced. Most have been with us for more than 10 years. Bottom line, we are very confident that we can provide you with the highest level of professional care that you could receive anywhere.
