Biography

Jennifer Grieco is a shareholder at the law firm of Altior Law, P.C. specializing in complex commercial litigation and business torts including professional liability, shareholder disputes ,and construction claims.

Jennifer is a Past President of the State Bar of Michigan (2018-2019), first elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2011 and reelected in 2014.

She currently serves as a member on the Lakeshore Legal Aid Board of Directors; Secretary of the Oakland County Zoological Authority; Board Member of the Detroit Zoological Society; Member of the ACLU Oakland County Lawyers Committee; Member of the SBM ADR Section Council and a Panelist for the Attorney Discipline Board.

In 2011, she was named a "Woman in the Law" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly and was recognized by her peers in the list of Top 50 Women Attorneys in Michigan by Super Lawyers in 2011-2020, Top 100 Lawyers in Michigan in 2013-2020, Top 50 Business Lawyers 2013-2018 and Top 25 Women Business Lawyers 2013-2018. In 2021, she was named Lawyer of the Year for Professional Malpractice Law in Troy by Best Lawyers.

In 2004, she was recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as one of Michigan’s “Up and Coming Lawyers”. She was a Crain's 40 Under 40 in 2010 and Notable Woman Lawyers in 2017 and 2021. In 2019, she was awarded the Evelyn Forrest Respected Advocate Award by the WB A and the Earl J. Cline and Sherwin Schreier Award by the SBM Negligence Section. In 2020, she was awarded the Jean L. King Leadership Award by the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. In 2021, she was awarded the Michael Franck Award from the SBM Representative Assembly.
