- Administration of Justice
- Thank you to Rulette Armstead (see her article in the Union Tribune - "The first woman and first African-American to reach the rank of assistant police chief in the 116-year history of the San Diego Police Department") for giving me the opportunity to speak to her Administration of Justice class at the Educational Cultural Complex. The room was filled with future attorneys, police officers, correctional officers, investigators and more. We met just a couple days after the unfortunate event in San Francisco where Police used an egregious amount of unreasonable force to subdue a fleeing suspect. Every student was engaged and wanted to learn about California Penal Code §1538.5 Suppression Motions, VC23152 DUIs, DMV APS Hearings, court proceedings, and the differences between criminal defense and civil law practice. ?
