A lifelong resident of the Bluegrass State, Jim is passionate about helping individuals navigate personal loss and life transitions with strength, resilience, and renewed hope. As a Senior Associate Attorney, he represents clients throughout Fayette County and the surrounding areas with empathy, professionalism, and unwavering commitment.
Jim earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, where he served as a law clerk focusing on medical malpractice defense. Before law school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Philosophy from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Jim’s legal career includes extensive litigation experience. He previously worked as a litigation attorney with the Justice Cabinet, managing complex civil cases in both state and federal courts. He also served as legal counsel to the Kentucky State Correctional Committee and the Probation and Parole Nominating Committee, advising on criminal justice reform and executive oversight. Before joining Stange Law Firm, Jim practiced in various areas including insurance and financial services, plaintiff’s work, and workers’ compensation, where he was promoted to Partner. He also taught at Eastern Kentucky University, demonstrating his broad legal knowledge and commitment to service. With over two decades of experience in both jury and bench trials, Jim takes a hands-on approach to each case. He prioritizes clear and timely communication with his clients, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
