James Bruce
Certified Domestic Relations Specialist.
James Bruce has practiced law in Phoenix Metropolitan and Glendale since 1978. He grew up and graduated high school in Rochester, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Haverford College in 1973. He worked for the Pennsylvania Crime Commission in 1973 and 1974. He attended Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. from 1974 to 1977. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown in 1977.
James Bruce took the Arizona State Bar and was admitted to practice law in 1977. He moved to Glendale, Arizona, in 1978 and has been practicing law in the Phoenix Metropolitan area ever since.
James Bruce has practiced law in Phoenix Metropolitan and Glendale since 1978. In February of 2000, the State Bar of Arizona gave James Bruce the distinction of being named a Certified Domestic Relations Specialist. This is a distinction which is given to only a few domestic relations lawyers in the State of Arizona. It is given when one shows a proficiency, expertise and knowledge of the nuances of Arizona Family Law. Although there are over 17,000 lawyers licensed to practice law in Arizona, today there are less then 70 who have earned the distinction of being named a Certified Domestic Relations Specialist.
James Bruce has appeared and practiced in Courtrooms throughout the State of Arizona. He has appeared before the Arizona Court of Appeals to argue a variety of Family Law matters. James Bruce has been a sole practitioner doing exclusively family law since 1985. He is married with four grown children.
