- Q. Can a personn be on state probation and county probation for the same case
- A: Yes you can but it would be a great idea to ask a lawyer to help you with this. It might be that part of the negotiation for the plea could include an agreement where you are only supervised by one probation department.
- Q. In TN I was arrested and charged a misdemeanor drug charge. I bonded out and went to GA where I live and missed court
- A: You may be able to help yourself by showing up for court rather than waiting to get arrested and taken to jail. Hire a lawyer and follow his or her advice. A lawyer who practices in the court where you have your case should have an idea about how the court handles problems like yours.
- Q. Can I sue I had two emergency surgerys with neck trauma and then probation officer violated me after surgery
- A: You need a lawyer to help you with this. If you violated your probation unwillingly because you were actually in the hospital when you were supposed to report or come to court you may have a valid excuse. You will have to prove this with documentation from the hospital or your doctor.
