Biography

Attorney Heather is a private immigration attorney passionate about protecting the human rights of immigrants. Primarily focused in the area of family-based immigration including unlawful presence & criminal waivers, Heather regularly obtains visa approvals, green cards, and U.S. citizenship for her clients. She regularly travels throughout the US for court appearances and CIS (immigration agency) green card, citizenship, and conditional green card waiver interviews to be by her clients' side and to protect their interests. As immigration law is all federal law, she is able to represent clients in every US state & throughout the world.

Attorney Heather has a very high (98% overall success rate) on all immigration cases.*

Her expertise stems from her practical legal experience in the field and her background in grass-roots activism on behalf of women and immigrants.

Heather was named in Los Angeles Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine "Super Lawyer: Rising Star" for excellence in immigration law four times to date. The Rising Star designation is an honor granted to only 2.5% of all Southern California Lawyers each year. This is an exceptional honor, given that Southern California has the second largest population of lawyers in the US behind New York and less than 1% of immigration lawyers receive this honor.

She has also been commended for her work by and has trained many other immigration lawyers on complex family-law issues for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, and Beverly Hills Bar Associations, among others.

She is a nationally published author and attorney trainer on immigration issues. She co-authored the first-ever article on the new "V visa" and recently wrote on the subject of Conditional Green Card Waivers in Forms & Fundamentals, two key training books for other immigration attorneys that are published by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the pre-eminent, leading organization of immigration attorneys nationwide. She has been internationally published on various family-immigration issues including conditional green card waivers, marriage-based immigration, and options for abused immigrants. Her articles have also been published in major bar association publications including Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine and The Orange County Lawyer Magazine. She is currently serving on the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Publication Board, overseeing scholarly writings and training material development for other immigration attorneys.

Heather also teaches Immigration Law at Fullerton College in Southern California. FOR MORE INFO ON HEATHER, VISIT: www.humanrightsattorney.com
