My first job out of law school was as an attorney for the IRS. I represented the federal government in tax collection matters against big, faceless businesses and corporations.
It wasn't for me.
Every day at that job convinced me more and more that what I really wanted to do was work with real people that have everyday issues.
And so I started my own practice where I could do just that. My job now is to help people adopt, work with same-sex couples to protect and expand their families, and let people manage their debt issues, be it lawsuits or bankruptcy.
My work is rewarding: nothing satisfies me more than protecting my clients against their legal adversaries, easing their legal concerns, and creatively accomplishing their goals.
While I work diligently for my clients, my office is rather relaxed: I donât wear a suit and tie to work, and sometimes you may find one of my dogs serving as my office greeter.
Outside of being a lawyer, Iâm also a tech geek. I love reading about the latest gadgets and computer hardware as well as fiddling with web design for fun (including this very website).
