- Q. Can somebody on child support put you on child support ?
- A: Yes, the two things are unrelated in the eyes of the law.
- Q. Can a spouse ask for personal items after divorce closed?
- A: You need to hire an attorney to review your Martial Settlement Agreement to ensure you are complying with the terms and are not in Contempt.
- Q. I was divorced in 2011. My attorney back then filed my divorce in Duval County. However, I lived in Saint Johns County.
- A: In Florida to file for divorce in any county you must show proof of residency. To satisfy this requirement at least one of the parties must be a Florida resident for six months or more immediately prior to filing for divorce.
