I have thirty years of experience representing men and women in divorce proceedings in two states (first NY, then Massachusetts). That experience has included complex litigation involving closely held businesses, custody battles, domestic violence cases, and cases involving hidden assets and income. I also have experience in mediation or arbitration proceedings as an advocate for one of the parties. I do not offer mediation as a service myself. Mediation is a great thing when it works. But it does not always work. Sometimes the other side is not going to compromise, or the issue is one a judge needs to decide. Those are the cases I handle.

  I will speak to you by phone, just to get an initial sense of where you are and discuss the overall process, without charge. I charge for a sit-down, in-person meeting at my hourly rate or half that amount if you choose to do it by Zoom.

  I require a deposit for fees and then will invoice you monthly. Invoices are due on receipt. My fee agreement, which you will have time to review before hiring me, describes my billing practices in detail.
