Since 1987, I have been dedicated to serving disabled workers as a Workers Compensation attorney. My commitment to the community drives me to ensure that my clients are well-informed about their rights, enabling them to navigate the complexities of the WC system effectively.
I understand the importance of connecting with competent doctors, as this is crucial for achieving favorable outcomes in WC cases.
My firm has earned respect from judges and defense offices alike. More importantly, my clients have expressed high satisfaction with the outcomes of their cases.
The court determines our fees, which are typically 15% of the recovery amount, making it contingent on the settlement size.
I offer free consultations, and my staff is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.

- Q. Should I take the money or not?
- A: Dear concerned injured worker,
Head injuries are some of the most complex injuries to diagnose and treat, especially in the workers compensation medical care system. I would strongly urge you not to accept the payout if that means a resignation of your job or if you have not been properly diagnosed. A resignation would likely mean that you relinquish your medical insurance with your employer. A qualified attorney can help you in both of these areas. I recommend you see consultation with an attorney as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Dennis Dascanio
- Q. On workers comp then furloughed due to covid-19 pandemic , then was told by workers comp doctor to return to work+fired
- A: Dear concerned worker,
Generally, you cannot be fired while on disability leave. However there are many exceptions and you are highly encouraged to consult with an employment law specialist on Justia. You have strict time limitations so you should seek the consultation immediately.
If your Covid was related to your employment then you may have additional benefits through workers compensation.
Sincerely,
Dennis A. Dascanio

- Q. I have had a drug and alcohol disease, I file a worker comp claim, they want my medical records. What can they see
- A: Dear concerned injured worker,
Typically only relevant medical records are discoverable in your Worker’s Compensation claim and you must authorize the release before they can be requested. If you are concerned about the release of your medical records you should consult with your Worker’s Compensation attorney who can ensure that only the relevant records are released and protected.
Sincerely,
Dennis Dascanio
