Q. I was hired on the spot for a job. Worked 6 hours. Management said they would do my paper work after they closed.
A: Unfortunately, Texas is an at-will employment state. That means they can hire and subsequently fire you at will. No reason needs to be given. If you worked, they do need to pay you for your work.
