Daniel A. Goldfaden
Levin & Perconti
Daniel A. Goldfaden was hired as an associate attorney at Levin & Perconti in June 2014. Prior to his hiring, Daniel worked at a plaintiff’s class action litigation firm following his admission into the Illinois Bar on October 2013. In September 2019, Daniel was named to the Law Bulletin's list of “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch.”
Daniel focuses his practice on nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death matters. Daniel chose a career in personal injury law because he wanted to be able to help people who were going through difficult periods of their lives. “I love interacting with my clients,” said Daniel. “No other area of the law allows for more face time with clients. I also like that my practice allows me advocate on behalf of and stand up for the average Joe against some very powerful entities. I look forward to coming to work because I know there will be a new challenge to overcome every day.”
In addition to his casework, Daniel is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Decalogue Society.
Daniel graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2013. As a law student, he received the CALI Award for Future Excellence in Income Taxation and was named to the Dean’s List. He participated in the Student Legal Relief program and served as an Editor of the Elder Law Journal. Daniel earned his 711 license and gained valuable litigation experience volunteering for the University of Illinois Civil Litigation Clinic, and also served as adjunct professor in legal research and writing for international LLM students. Daniel also completed an externship for the Honorable Denise Page Hood of the Eastern District of Michigan.
Daniel grew up in Detroit and attended the University of Michigan where he graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in Economics and Statistics. Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys reading historical biographies, attempting to cook, and exploring Chicago.
