For decades, followers of his legal columns and “Accidentally Yours” talk shows know he advises, “ONLY hire a local award-winning PI Lawyer, and not some no name, nonlocal 1800 lawyer. Gribow was also a victim and walked in your shoes!" Gribow understands what you are and will be going through and understands that Accidents never happen at a good time...so “Don’t let a lawyer, who has not walked in your shoes, tell you how to tie your laces, and don’t let the insurance company run you over too.” You need sound advice, not soundbites, from an experienced award-winning lawyer!

- Q. Is it Medical Malpractice if a Neurologist can't diagnose spinal cord compression? 14 months from onset to dx.
- A: Med Mal cases are very challenging and very costly to bring.
A lawyer can't tell over the phone without reviewing a second doctor's records, which need to set forth why it was Malpractice and, if it was, then determine the damages.
If you were not seriously injured, you would have difficulty finding a lawyer... in my opinion.
If your new doc didn't say it was Malpractice and be willing to testify to that, you have an uphill battle.
- Q. PC 3691 b 1 oay fine without court appearance.
- A: With a misdemeanor, your criminal lawyer can usually appear on your behalf.
In some courts, for instance, domestic violence requires your appearance at the arraignment.
That is not the case with a Felony.
You should consult with a local lawyer who often practices in that court.
Every judge is different in what they require.
More info is needed.
Have you been to court already?........and have you already plea and thus are asking if you can pay the fine without going to court, or will this be your 1st appearance?
With a criminal case, the court will appoint a public defender if you can't afford a lawyer.
good luck.
- Q. What can I do if the Settlement Admin. keeps pushing back the payment date without explination?
- A: is the delay by your lawyer?............or the other side.
i would contact:
1. your lawyer
2. settlement administrator
3. consult with another lawyer to sub in IF the delay is by your lawyer...a la the Tom Girardi scenario
4. send a letter to your lawyer setting forth your concerns and that s/he has not responded to you... and if there is no response you will pursue any and all civil and or criminal remedies available.
5. though I don't like doing it, I would consider contacting the state bar if the delay is by your lawyer and there is no good excuse.
