Craig Lavrenz

Craig Lavrenz is a dedicated Senior Associate Attorney with Stange Law Firm. Based in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa, family law office, he is ready to help clients throughout Linn County and the Cedar Rapids Area.

Craig attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. During his time in law school, Craig was President of the Student Veterans Association, Vice President of the Family Law Society, and a Member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Society. He also worked as a Summer Associate at an international law firm in St. Petersburg, Russia. There, he worked on international contracts, regulatory compliance, and negotiating deals pertaining to cross-border transactions. Prior to law school, he studied at California State University, San Marcos, and received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government. During his undergrad, Craig lived and worked in Southeast Asia in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with underserved Hill Tribe communities.

Before joining the Cedar Rapids, IA divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, Craig most recently worked as the general counsel of a leading metal fabricator in Anamosa, IA. Before that, he worked as a Principal Contract Consultant for almost 6 years. Craig’s experience in these roles has provided him with strong skills in jury trials and municipal law. In addition to Craig’s strong legal foundation, his experiences with his own family drive his commitment to helping you navigate your legal journey with empathy and care.

Craig is a proud Marine Veteran. He also speaks limited working Russian and Spanish, allowing him to communicate with a broader range of clients.
