Christopher Meisenkothen

Attorney Christopher Meisenkothen is a partner at the Connecticut law firm of Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen. Since joining the firm in 1999, Attorney Meisenkothen has dedicated his practice to representing people who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. and their families. He has successfully handled hundreds of mesothelioma lawsuits and recovered millions of dollars in settlements for his clients. In 2023, Attorney Meisenkothen co-chaired a trial involving a maintenance worker who died from mesothelioma. That case won a verdict of $20,000,000, the largest asbestos jury verdict in Connecticut history.

In 1996, Attorney Meisenkothen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and sociology with distinction in history. In 1999, he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law and joined ELSM in August of that year. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and Georgia, and in the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the Northern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the Connecticut Bar Association.

Attorney Meisenkothen has been recognized as a "Rising Star" and later “Super Lawyer” by the Super Lawyers rating service in recognition of the professional achievements. He has also been selected for inclusion in the oldest rating publication, Best Lawyers. No more than 5% of the lawyers in any given state are awarded this prestigious designation. He has also been recognized for his work in filing Connecticut Workers' Compensation claims on behalf of Connecticut asbestos and mesothelioma victims.
