Christina Lee Corder McDonald

Ms. McDonald received her Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Journalism with special emphasis in Mathematics, Philosophy and French from the University of Kansas in 1994, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society, Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Collegiate Honor Society. In 2000, she went on to obtain a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver with high honors, where she was a member of Order of St. Ives Honorary Scholastic Legal Society, served as general editor for the University of Denver Law Review, and served as Justice for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
Work History
Ms. McDonald started her legal career as a summer clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Bruce D. Pringle. She went on to a large firm touching on a wide variety of personal and corporate legal issues and settled in the corporate restructuring and capital recovery division. In 2004, Ms. McDonald became In-House Counsel for a real estate firm providing legal advice and counsel from corporate formation issues to business succession planning to contracts to auditing company policies and procedures. In 2009, Ms. McDonald joined forces with Ms. Johansen and formed Johansen, McDonald & Associates, P.C. to focus on providing legal services to small- to medium-sized businesses and business owners. Today, Ms. McDonald remains associated with Ms. Johansen as Of Counsel to The Johansen Law Office, P.C. and runs McDonald Law, LLC.
Community Involvement
Ms. McDonald is a current member of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce, and the Legislative Action Committee for the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, and the following divisions of the Colorado Bar Association: Intellectual Property; Solo/Small Firm Practice; Trusts and Estates; and Business Law. Ms. McDonald has served as a Children's Ministry Director and volunteered extensively for a variety of adult literacy programs. She is currently the Chairman of the Character Education Committee for the Buffalo Ridge Elementary Alliance and is never far from the title "Coach" for a variety of pee-wee sports.
