For over a decade, Charrisse N. Smith has been a trusted advocate, guiding individuals through the legal system with skill and compassion. Throughout her career, she has earned recognition for her professionalism, dedication to advocacy, and exceptional negotiation and mediation abilities. Committed to changing the narrative surrounding attorneys, Charrisse upholds the highest standards of integrity both in and out of the courtroom. She approaches each case with the same level of dedication and care she would expect for her own legal matters.
Charrisse is passionate about family law, finding great fulfillment in helping individuals navigate one of the most challenging periods of their lives. She exclusively practices Family Law, serving clients in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties in Southern California. Her experience includes handling both complex and uncontested cases related to divorce, spousal support, child custody, child support, property division, and domestic violence.
A proud Southern California native, Charrisse earned dual degrees in Sociology and Black Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After completing her undergraduate studies, she dedicated a year to AmeriCorps VISTA, working with an inner-city high school where she mentored students, helping them prepare academically and socially for college and beyond.
Charrisse then pursued her law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she excelled academically, earning a spot on the Dean’s List consistently. She also served in leadership roles within the Student Bar Association and the Black Law Students Association, both locally and nationally. Most notably, she became the first student from her law school to serve on the Executive Board for the Midwestern Region of the Black Law Students Association.
