Biography

I have been licensed to practice law in the State of Florida since 2016. I am also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and I am trained in Collaborative Divorce.

A Cuban immigrant, I came to the United States in 2002 and have resided in Miami since then. As both of my parents were attorneys in my native country of Cuba, it was always my goal to become an attorney in the United States. After going through a difficult and long divorce process myself, I decided to dedicate my career to helping other families struggling with similar situations.

I have dedicated my career to helping clients with their family law matters including divorce, paternity, child support, prenuptial agreements, and post-judgment matters.

I personally understand how difficult a family legal issue can be and believe having the right representation is essential for achieving the best outcome and having peace of mind. I represent mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, and relatives of minor children in complex legal matters.

It can be overwhelming to navigate the legal system alone while taking care of your family at the same time. You need an attorney who knows and understands the law and has the perspective and understanding to listen to you and fight for your rights. Going through the process alone, without the right legal representation, can have long-lasting and costly consequences for you and your family.

I personally care for your case and recognize the importance of your desired outcome. I will be there with you every step of the way to assist you with your legal matters so you can focus on your family and your future after the process is over.

When not practicing law, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my daughter and my small dog, and dancing Zumba.

Q. My wife walked out on me 3 months ago and left me with our daughters - please help
A: You should file a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage in the Court and request child support for your daughters. The Court will determine based on your income, your Wife's income and the timesharing each of you has with your daughters, the amount of child support that should be paid. You could even request child support to be awarded retroactively to March 2020 when she left the home. You should consult with an attorney for a more specific case analysis.

Q. I understand the parenting plan covers until child is 18. How long in advance (1yr,6mo?)are highly structured plans done
A: In a Divorce process, when a parenting plan is established, it is typically done for the duration of the child's minority and it is a plan that can be used from year to year. The Court will not keep a case open so you and the other parent can be changing the plan every few months. A parenting plan is established, the case is closed, and you can file a petition to modify it if there are substantial changes in circumstances.
