Q. Can I lose my share of the house if my ex spouse who owns 1/2 the home gets in tax trouble?
A: Yes, the Hawaii Dept of Tax can lien any real property a taxpayer owes. They can only lien up 1/2 the house. Not your share of the house. If they foreclose on the lien (very rare), they would sell the house and pay you 1/2 the net sale proceeds.

Hope that Helps.

Q. If my parents claim me as a dependent but I am majority age (I am 18) can they control my salary?
A: I don't think your parents can control your salary, unless you work for them. However, I am not a CPA. They would know best. Aloha, Blake Goodman
Q. If making monthly mortgage payments, why am I in foreclose, and I have all my bank statements showing I have paid.
A: You are being screwed with. I help people file bankruptcy to save their home from foreclosure, not this kind of thing.
