Ben Melnick joined Schauermann Thayer in 2018, and he became a partner in 2020. He graduated with a BA from Washington State University in 2010, and he earned his JD from Gonzaga University School of Law. His practice focuses on personal injury, auto, motorcycle, and biking accidents, wrongful death, and insurance disputes. He is licensed to practice in all Washington and Oregon state and federal courts.
Ben is active in the legal community. He is an Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice, and has chaired the WSAJ Clark County Round Table since 2017. Ben is also a Guardian in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. He has been the Treasurer of the Clark County Bar Association since 2020. Ben was on the Board for the Campaign for Equal Justice Executive Board in 2022-23. He has been a member of the Campaign’s Rainier Cup Committee since 2022, and he was the Co-Chair in 2023.
In 2016, he was named as the Clark County Bar Association’s Rising Star. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Outside work, Ben spends time with his family, and he stays active through running, playing soccer, hiking, and skiing.
