Benjamin Blakeman

We are a life insurance law firm in Los Angeles. I received my law degree from UCLA and began practice in 1974. Throughout most of my career, I represented consumers and small businesses in civil litigation involving real estate and business. For approximately seven years from 1999-2006 I was licensed as a life insurance agent, securities representative and compliance officer. In late 2006, I resumed a full-time law practice and focused on life insurance related issues. I have continued to focus on life insurance and have handled more than 300 life insurance matters over the past fifteen years, including matters in CA, NV, WA, MO, IL, ID, PA, NJ. This includes the landmark cases of Lee v. West Coast Life (2012 CA 9th) 688 F. 3d 1004 and Dones v. Life Insurance Company of North America (2020) 55 Cal App 5th 665. I am a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Estate Counselors Forum of Los Angeles, UCLA Moot Court Judges Panel, and other professional organizations. We have offered free legal consultations on life insurance related matters continuously since 2006.
