While attending law school she worked with the Orange County Rescue Mission providing legal services to members of society who might not otherwise have access to legal aid. She was also a member of Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, the Public Relations Director for the Student Bar Association, and she attended an International Human Rights Program in France. Before moving to California for law school, she attended the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where she obtained a Bachelors in Science and graduated with high honors in the National Political Science Honor Society.
